WE'RE CANON! You guys! :heart::heart::heart:

Okay, It's been about a month since 700 and The Last is so close but I'm only really now able to put my head down to sort through my overwhelming happiness at how Naruto ended and what treats were getting to wean us off not having a new chapter to look forward to every week.

I've been watching and reading Naruto for nine years. Every fanfiction I've ever written about Naruto is all thanks to :iconsabaku-chan:, who introduced me to it in the first place about a month after we met.

I enjoyed the story to begin with and when I discovered Hinata's character, I identified with her. We have many key personality traits and attributes in common. When I realised (rather quickly, might I add) that she liked Naruto, that's when I started shipping NaruHina.

:heart: Not until 437 did I think we had a realistic hope at a NaruHina ending, but to see Hinata get the man who inspired her to improve herself made me so happy :heart:

It's the first time I can remember actively shipping (EdwardxWinry doesn't count because aside from death, there was nothing going to stop them from ending up together) a pairing that came about.

Which is why I can't bring myself to ever be anti-NaruSaku or rub our happy ending in their faces, because I remember the disappointment in HarryxHermione not coming to fruition.

:bulletorange::bulletpurple::bulletorange::bulletpurple::bulletorange::bulletpurple::bulletorange::bulletpurple::bulletorange::bulletpurple::bulletorange::bulletpurple::bulletorange::bulletpurple::bulletorange::bulletpurple::bulletorange::bulletpurple::bulletorange::bulletpurple::bulletorange::bulletpurple::bulletorange::bulletpurple::bulletorange::bulletpurple::bulletorange::bulletpurple::bulletorange::bulletpurple:

The Last has me so excited! There isn't anything I'm not looking forward too. I'm looking forward to the NaruHina interactions, feelings and KISS. :iconmonthlyreminder:, once the movie's out and you've seen the actual kiss, I think said scene would be jaw-droppingly amazing in your style!

That said, I'm also looking forward to the angst, the fighting, Hinata and Sakura being a BAMF and so much more!

I am just so happy :tears: The Last is being shown here in Australia! We never get the movies in the theatres! The last Japanese-subtitled film I saw in cinema was Howl's Moving Castle. In fact, the cinema I saw it in will be the same one I will be watching The Last in. January 17 is the day!

I'll probably be going to the first viewing at Luna Leederville on January 17 (thank god it's a Saturday! I would seriously consider taking a week off to drive to Perth and watch it during the week), so maybe I'll see you there.

:bulletorange::bulletpurple::bulletorange::bulletpurple::bulletorange::bulletpurple::bulletorange::bulletpurple::bulletorange::bulletpurple::bulletorange::bulletpurple::bulletorange::bulletpurple::bulletorange::bulletpurple::bulletorange::bulletpurple::bulletorange::bulletpurple::bulletorange::bulletpurple::bulletorange::bulletpurple::bulletorange::bulletpurple::bulletorange::bulletpurple::bulletorange::bulletpurple:

Until that day though, we have DA, ff.net and Tumblr to drip feed NaruHina fixes until then. Most of you probably already know of me over on fanfiction.net as Wandering Wonderer, but did you know I'm over on Tumblr too? My name is Journalist298.

Tumblr has been fantastic in feeding my NaruHina-ness in these past few months and been a great hub for finding out information when I don't have easy access to a computer (hurray for smart phones!).

My newest 100 Themes Challenge update is a homage to the NaruHina community on Tumblr. I even got in "feels", "I can't even", "did the do" and "Narudad is so important".

The knowledge that Naruto is a dad tugs at my heart strings :heart::blush:

Where I'm At

5 min read
Hello all!

As you may or may not have noticed, I have updated another 100 Themes Challenge story, this one called Kick in the Head. This is number 57! Goodness, I really have slowed down.

And here's why: work.

Last time I did a journal entry, I was living in Bunbury, Western Australia. I left there 10 months ago to take up a position as the Senior Journalist at the Manjimup-Bridgetown Times. Same company, same boss, but now 3.5 hours away from Perth, rather than 2 hours. Manjimup is a small town of 4200 people and I'm absolutely loving it here.

Professionally, things are going great, which is a big reason I'm writing creatively less and less. At the end of the day, the last thing I want to do is go home and write some more. But the other night, I was scrolling through my incomplete list for the 100 Themes Challenge and other various NaruHina ideas (hoping inspiration would bite) and it did. Kick in the Head came together in about a combined 24 hours.

For those of you following me over on ff.net too, under Wandering Wonderer - I have recently (end of last year and early this year) uploaded four NaruHina oneshots under the combined story Oranges and Lavender.

Also, I was so happy to discover Instrumental, my 15,000 oneshot has hit 100 reviews!!! :excited:

Good evening friends! (If it is indeed night, wherever you are in the world).

This is just a short journal entry in case any of my watchers live in Perth, Western Australia or the near surrounds and are going to Supanova this weekend. Myself and :iconsabaku-chan: will be there with a booth and I will have a children's book I wrote and she illustrated for sale. I will also have a collections of never-before-seen lemons and oneshots on sale.

We'll be at a booth called Creative Counter Attack and look forward to putting faces to screen names.

That's all for now, I have writing to finish. I'm cutting it close.

I'm Alive!

3 min read
I'm alive!!!

Work and family life has been so hectic, I haven't felt the inclination or desire to write.

Long story short, my boss was a bully, and if you had a different opinion to him, you were not only wrong, you were stupid. I've been fed up with him for a while, and so I started looking for jobs. Just before my holiday in August, I was called for an interview in Bunbury.

Bunbury is two hours south of Perth, where my family is. I had my interview the day before I went overseas, and was offered the job when I was in Wales. It was a whirlwind three weeks after that, because I was on holiday and then when I got back, another family member died of cancer.

That said, moving and starting a new job helped distract me from Chris' death. He was like a second dad to me and I can't help but see the parallels to the last time this happened last year.

These things are the same:
1. Waiting to here back about a job.
2. On holiday.
3. Family member dying of cancer.

God, I hope it's not repeated next year.

:bulletred::bulletblue::bulletorange::bulletyellow::bulletgreen::bulletpink::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletorange::bulletyellow::bulletgreen::bulletpink::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletorange::bulletyellow::bulletgreen::bulletpink::bulletpurple:

I now have internet in my home in Bunbury (whee!), something I didn't even have in Esperance. As such, I now have internet and Word on the same computer outside of work and have the time and ease of uploading stories.

So, bring on :iconperpetual159:'s Word Challenge to bring back my creative juices!

I'll be accepting word submissions until this time next week, and will start uploading me stories on Saturday.

:D I'm glad to be back.

Hello, and welcome to the new Sleepwalking101. What's changed? I completed my Graduate Diploma in Education, which was iffy considering how much I was stressing and complaining about it in my last journal entry.

So what's new and keeping me from uploading anything since January? I have a job!! :squee::hooray: As you all know, I have a journalism degree. In late January, My Mum, sister and I were took my sister's French exchange student and her Mum to Esperance, a small town in the south of Western Australia (look it up if you want, and don't forget to google Twilight Beach, it's my favourite). My friend Lauren (we went through our journalism course together) works there as a journalist at the local newspaper, and while I was catching up with her, she told me that a journalist had just been fired. This was a Tuesday.

On Wednesday, Lauren called my while I was at Twilight Beach, and said it would be good if I could come in on the day and meet the editor. At 2pm, I went in and met Paul. At the time he said he didn't know if he even had a job opening, because he was looking for a deputy editor, rather than a cadet journalist. He said he'd give me a call to apply formally if the D.E position fell through.

On Thursday, we drove back to Perth, and on Friday Paul called me that the other position had fallen through, and asked if I could send in my CV.

I didn't hear anything for a week, and in the meantime, I had to fly to Melbourne because my Uncle who had cancer had taken a turn for the worst. I was in Melbourne for a few days, surrounded by family I barely knew (they'd known my Mum when she was a little girl). It was overwhelming and I had to go and stay with my Aunt and Uncle on my Dad's side of the family, who also lived in Melbourne. I was with them for three days, but then I got the call.

I got back to my other Aunt and Uncle's house, and it was going to be only a matter of hours for my Uncle. At 7.30pm in Melbourne (4.30 in Perth), I had a call from Paul. I'd received the job. I told him what was going on with my family, and I needed 2 weeks to get everything done. So, I was going to start on February 28.

My Uncle died two hours later, at 9.30pm on February 8. I'm just so happy he found out I got my first job.

So, I've since gone back to Perth, received my licence (late bloomer, people!), and moved to Esperance! That's right, I've moved out of home, away from my family and started my new job at the Esperance Express newspaper!! :woohoo:

That's right, I am a professional journalist!

Needless to say, I have been super busy settling in with my new job, house and friends.

Although, I can't blame it all on work :blush:, I haven't been in the NaruHina mood, it took me a while to get back into the swing of things. But I am now, and I bring you No. 99: Solitude. It's a lot of NaruHina fluff as my way of apologising.

And wow, my first Naruto fic that isn't an AU in over a year!

I won't promise any stories in the near future, because every time I do, I never update. I look forward to reading fics from my fellow fanfic writers though.
